Which one do you have?

You need: Cord-only lead (123 / 781). It has to be wired into a controller, so have a repair shop fit it, or buy the set with the controller.

You need: Cord and electronic controller combo with the same 3-pin machine end, such as 988274-102

Cheaper aftermarket part

Singer 3-prong double lead cord with foot controller

3 round holes to machine, 110/120V, sold as a plug-in set

Aftermarket sets fit the classic Singer 3-prong socket and cost less than an original. Buy the set with the controller, since the cord alone needs wiring.

Check first: Check your machine has three round pins, and read the motor plate for voltage.

The usual mistake

Buying a cord for a flat-pin socket, which does not fit the round 3-pin receptacle these sellers describe.
