Which one do you have?

You need: 11/16 in spade cord with oval holes

You need: 11/16 in prong cord with round holes

You need: 1/2 in prong cord; it fits round prongs only, not spades

You need: 3/4 in 2-pin cord

Cheap option, check one thing first

Heat-rated two-hole waffle iron cord

125V heat-rated cord, amps above the nameplate watts divided by 120, spacing 1/2, 11/16 or 3/4 in

Spacing and pin shape set the cord, and sellers sell those by size. A plain cord is never right for an iron.

Check first: Measure pins center to center, note round or flat, and read the iron's watts.

The usual mistake

Eyeballing 11/16 in vs 3/4 in: they look alike, so measure center to center.
