Which one do you have?

You need: Just the USB cable; a long run needs a USB extender, not a supply

You need: Different: ships with mains power cable, and its own USB rules (5 m limit)

You need: Check that model's sheet

Cheap option, check one thing first

USB 2.0 A-to-B cable

USB 2.0 A to B, 5 m max without an active extension. Power comes over USB.

It's a plain USB cable, and SMART's own 600-series spare is listed as 5 m A to B.

Check first: Look at the plug at the board end to confirm it's USB-B.

The usual mistake

Hunting for an AC adapter for a dead SB680: there isn't one, so check the USB cable and port first.
